Computer Science Pathway Description
Introduction to Software Technology is the foundational course for the Game Design pathway. It is designed for high school students to understand, communicate, and adapt to a digital world as it impacts their personal life, society, and the business world.
In this course you will engage your creativity, demonstrate and build problem solving skills all while connecting the relevance of computer science to the society! CS Principles is an intellectually rich and engaging course that is focused on building a solid understanding and foundation in computer science.
In this third level course students will explore the fundamentals of computer science through programming, app and game development, and computational thinking. Using hands-on, project-based learning, students will develop coding, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while exploring the impact of technology on society.
AP Business & Personal Finance
AP Business & Personal Finance is an introductory, college-level course that combines business principles with personal financial literacy through hands-on, real-world learning. Students will explore entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting, management, investing, budgeting, and career readiness while completing engaging projects and case studies.
This course is not part of the three-course Computer Science pathway, but it is an excellent elective for students interested in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, or financial literacy. Students may earn college credit by earning a qualifying score on the AP Business & Personal Finance Exam, offered each spring.

All students are required to join FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and actively participate in chapter activities throughout the school year.

All students are required to attend second-semester AP Test Prep sessions to prepare for the spring AP exam and maximize their opportunity to earn college credit.
